Position Job Title: Purchasing Agent (Rockville, MD)
Description of Job Duties: Research, identify, and evaluate suppliers based on criteria such as price, quality, selection, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities as well as their reputation within the context of a kitchen, bathroom and basement remodeling company. Analyze price proposals and financial reports to determine reasonable prices. Negotiate contracts with suppliers. Write and review product specifications, maintain and review records of items purchased, their costs and product performance. Prepare purchase orders and agreements for correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications. Monitor shipments and compliance with quality standards such as quality, delivery, and cost. Confer with staff and suppliers to discuss defective or unacceptable products and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.
Minimum Requirements: Masters Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Supply Management is required. M-F,
40 hrs/week.
